The curry crab is a key attraction. It tastes wonderful with rice!

This is a restaurant brand that has been around since 1969, with part of its longevity due to the popularity of its Fried Curry Crab. This legendary recipe is so well approved that Somboon Seafood has been featured globally and in the Michelin Guide.

The menu offers a wide variety of dishes, including non-seafood items.

When people think of seafood in Bangkok, it’s rare that this place doesn’t get a mention. With 8 branches across the city, Somboon Seafood is a place for casual elegant dining. The menu is diverse, and offers (pictured below) soups like Tom Yum Gong and Fish Maw. The highlight is the crab curry, which had chunks of tender crab meat immersed in a silky smooth scrambled egg-like filling.

The fish maw soup had a gravy texture and actually contained a decent amount of crab meat too! Apparently fish maw is great for your skin because people believe that deeper swimming fish have stronger bladders (hence more collagen inside).
