Best Rooftop Bars in Bangkok (in no particular order)
Bangkok has many bars from which you can admire the glimmering skyline
The capital city of Thailand is perfect if you’re a traveller who loves nightlife, meeting people and partying. If you also enjoy slower, more sophisticated experiences like spending nights on top of sky-scraping buildings, Bangkok has plenty of rooftop bars. Here are a few that we’ve been to and can confirm the quality of.
Tichuca Rooftop Bar
ตึก T one 8 ชั้น 46 Soi Sukhumvit 40, Phra Khanong, Khlong Toei, Bangkok 10110, Thailand
Google Map link
You’ll meet a young crowd including foreigners and locals, live DJ music and plenty of opportunities for starry city photos. Enter through the lobby of the T-One building in Sukhumvit. Tichuca is home to arguably the most famous LED lit tree in Bangkok. It looks like something from a science fiction movie, with its magically swaying tendrils and ethereal lighting. Tichuca spans 3 levels with the top-most platform offering breathtaking city views. You’ll find a jungle themed bar serving Tiki-styled drinks and, to quote their Instagram, a wild time.
Octave Rooftop Lounge & Bar
2 Soi Sukhumvit 57, Khwaeng Khlong Tan Nuea, Khet Watthana, Krung Thep Maha Nakhon 10110, Thailand
Google Map link
Located in the 5-star Marriott hotel, Octave Rooftop is an expansive lounge and bar. Perfect for a date, business meeting, or a calm start to a fun night, you can admire panoramic views of Bangkok’s skyline. Before you go up to the 45th floor, listen out for relaxing live jazz music from the lobby, it’s worth spending at least 20 minutes appreciating the dulcet tones. Octave is in the trendy district of Thonglor, which is a popular spot for expats.
HI-SO
2 N Sathon Rd, Silom, Bang Rak, Bangkok 10500, Thailand
Google Map link
Located in Bangkok’s more business-centric district of Silom, HI-SO is the rooftop bar on the 29th floor of SO/ luxury hotel. It’s not just a bar, there’s a menu with finger-friendly food including cheeses and Wagyu burgers to order from. This is a more toned-down version of some of the bars listed here, and is great for a catch-up among friends.
